RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

This Payment, Refund & Return Policy ("Policy") applies to all orders placed through the Cravings Bakeshop website, mobile application, social media channels, WhatsApp, telephone orders, or any other ordering platform operated by Cravings Bakeshop. By placing an order, you agree to this Policy in full.

1. Payment Methods

Cravings Bakeshop accepts the following payment methods:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • Online Payments through authorized payment gateways
  • Credit and Debit Cards
  • Mobile Wallets
  • Bank Transfers (where available)

All online transactions are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Cravings Bakeshop does not store or retain customer payment card information.

2. Fresh Product Policy

All cakes, pastries, breads, desserts, cookies, and other baked goods sold by Cravings Bakeshop are freshly prepared and perishable in nature.

Due to food safety and hygiene regulations, products are generally not eligible for return, exchange, or resale once delivered and accepted by the customer.

3. Eligible Concerns

Cravings Bakeshop will review complaints only in the following situations:

  • Incorrect item delivered
  • Product received in damaged condition
  • Quality issue present at the time of delivery
  • Product visibly spoiled or contaminated upon delivery
  • Order was confirmed but not delivered
  • Duplicate online payment
  • Failed online transaction resulting in customer account debit
  • Unauthorized online transaction as permitted under applicable banking regulations

All claims are subject to verification by Cravings Bakeshop.

4. Reporting Timeframe

Any issue regarding an order must be reported within **2 hours of delivery**.

Requests submitted after this period may not be eligible for review due to the perishable nature of bakery products and the inability to verify storage conditions after delivery.

5. Proof Requirement

To enable proper assessment of a complaint, customers must provide:

  • Order ID or order confirmation details
  • Clear photographs and/or video evidence of the product
  • Brief description of the issue

Complaints submitted without sufficient supporting evidence may not be processed.

6. Resolution Process

Upon review and verification of an eligible complaint, Cravings Bakeshop may, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following remedies:

  • Product replacement
  • Store credit
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

The remedy offered will depend on the nature and severity of the issue

7. Non-Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds, replacements, or credits will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind after placing an order
  • Dissatisfaction based solely on personal taste or texture preferences
  • Cancellation after preparation or baking has commenced
  • Incorrect address provided by the customer
  • Failed delivery due to customer unavailability after reasonable delivery attempts
  • Complaints reported after the specified reporting period
  • Products damaged due to improper storage, mishandling, or transportation by the customer after delivery

8. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

For orders paid through Cash on Delivery:

  • Cash refunds are generally not issued.
  • Approved claims may be resolved through a replacement product, store credit, or another remedy determined by Cravings Bakeshop.
  • Store credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and has no cash value.

9. Online Payment Refunds

  • For orders paid online, approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method whenever technically possible.
  • Refund processing timelines may vary depending on the payment provider, issuing bank, card network, or financial institution.
  • Typical refund processing may take 7–10 business days after approval.
  • Cravings Bakeshop is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, card issuers, or financial institutions once the refund has been initiated.
  • Any non-refundable transaction or processing fees charged by payment providers may not be recoverable.

10. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders may be cancelled only before they have been accepted and preparation has begun.
  • Once an order has entered production, baking, decorating, packaging, or preparation stages, cancellation requests cannot be accepted.
  • All approved cancellations must be confirmed by Cravings Bakeshop.

11. Failed or Duplicate Online Transactions

  • If an online payment is deducted from your account but the order is not confirmed, customers are advised to wait up to 24 hours as some transactions may automatically reverse.
  • If the transaction remains unresolved, Cravings Bakeshop will investigate the matter and coordinate with the payment provider.
  • Where a duplicate charge or failed transaction is verified, an appropriate refund will be initiated.

12. Partial Refunds

  • Partial refunds may be granted where only a portion of an order is affected by damage, quality concerns, or fulfillment errors.
  • The amount of any partial refund shall be determined solely by Cravings Bakeshop after review.

13. Charge backs and Payment Disputes

  • Customers are encouraged to contact Cravings Bakeshop before initiating a charge back or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider.
  • Where an order has been properly fulfilled and delivered, Cravings Bakeshop reserves the right to provide supporting documentation, delivery records, order confirmations, and transaction details in response to any dispute.
  • Fraudulent or unjustified charge backs may result in suspension or termination of customer accounts and recovery actions where permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

Cravings Bakeshop shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or failures resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Power outages
  • Government restrictions
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Banking system failures
  • Internet or platform outages
  • Third-party delivery service interruptions

15. Management Review

  • All refund, replacement, credit, and dispute decisions are subject to review by Cravings Bakeshop management.
  • The final resolution offered by Cravings Bakeshop shall be binding and final.

16. Changes to this Policy

  • Cravings Bakeshop reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or replace this Policy at any time without prior notice.
  • Any revised version will become effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
